Ronda Rousey will make her long-awaited go back to the Octagon when she struggles Amanda Nunes to the UFC women’s bantamweight title at UFC 207. Rousey has not fought since she dropped the belt in her lone career reduction — to Holly Holm at UFC 193.
Rousey attributes are skill and her aggression. “Rowdy” has never once gone into the judges’ scorecards in her 13-fight professional career with 11 career successes through first-round stoppage. She is always pushing the speed and has fluid grappling skills to set up her entry game. But, it became evident in the Holm struggle that she can be defeated and stifled by an opponent with good footwork.
Nunes rarely goes to decision either, as she has gone the distance only twice in her 17 expert fights. She is technically solid on the feet with enormous power in her hands. More often than not, she uses her wrestling capability to take the fight to the mat and use barbarous ground and pound to finish her competitor. “The Lioness” has been known to gas outside, though, along with her hyper-aggressive style implies that the longer the battle goes, the worse it gets to the winner.
UFC 207 will happen on December 30.
